Welcome, Welcome, Welcome! If you are HERE, then Welcome...if you are not HERE...

Hello, everyone! Welcome to Redeemed by D.S.ign!

"Something New From Something Old! That is my motto!"

My name is Patricia Davis-Striegler, hence D.S.! I also dwell in the awesome land of Dripping Springs, TX, hence, another DS!

Well, I know this is going to sound a little corny, goes!
I have been blessed with a vision…(it's true) I can see things that have been tossed, trashed, thought useless by many, transformed into something beautiful, useful, unique, one-of-a-kind treasures! (I can see the end product in my mind's eye!!Wow!!)
I pray these born-again items will bring a touch of the Redeemed to your life!

I love working with old, rusted discarded tin and aluminum, old wood fencing and barn wood, old rusted barbed wire, old vintage jewelry and beads, old plates, etc., just about anything that has been labeled “useless“, “no good“, “junk“ or “trash”!

I am also 'into' mixed-media (acrylics) interpretations of Scripture in folk art, repose, and mosaics, and clay. Also, acrylics painted on different and unusual surfaces and altered anything (books, journals, etc).

I will be adding more and more items as I am beginning a new artistic venture at! A great place to find one-of-a-kind handmade items! Please come by and check out my shop and please feel free to purchase anything you see! LOL!.

My shop is located at

Please come back often and check out my site for new items and information.

And remember, “Nothing is “just junk” in the hands of a creator.”
"Only the heart knows how to find what is precious.”

Good Afternoon, Lots of New Things!

Good Afternoon, All!
Well, I am back from Llano, and going a little nuts. My brother got sick the other day and had to rush him to hospital. He is a little better, although we still do not know what caused the chest pains and dizziness??? we will find out something next week, I hope!
Well, I have started a new store at Etsy, Sunday Vintage Style (it really isn't open yet, but soon) and another one at Cafe Press that is up and running!

Come and Check it Out!
Check out the new Daily Bread post! I guess that really stood our in my mind because the Drosts were just here....
Also, check out What's Happenin' in Drippin' this week-end!

I was at my workshop this morning, with the door open, and a guy came riding by on his horse, just outside my door, a beautiful horse, no shirt, boots, and a straw hat! Only in Texas!

Check back with you laters!
And abig Hello and shout out to my Ruebeens reading this blog!

My Goodness! It's Been A Month!

Well, I can't believe it has been a month since I
posted anything???? But it has! I was so busy trying to get something finished with my new materials that I didn't even have time to think. Then when I did finish them, I couldn't get them posted! My camera would not take good pictures of the smaller items I made. they just came out blurry, and you couldn't read what was on them. So, I missed the Easter Sale I was having on Etsy. I didn't end up selling anything anyway??? I went

to Llano to see my sister, Debbie Cox, the day after Easter. Took all of my little crosses, etc. and scanned them into her computer. (Tried to scan them into mine, but my scanner decided to stop working right when I needed it??) the pictures came out pretty good and you can read the writing that is printed on them! You can even see the highlights and brush strokes, so I am pleased. I am sure there are some great photographers out there that would say, oooohhh not so good, but if that is all you can do that is all you can do! Check them out in my Flickr prom on right. I am going to post them at Etsy today and tomorrow and re-post all of my items I have for sale. I hope I can do better now. I am beginning a new line of products next week and will post the pictures of my new materials as soon as I get the pics of them! Found some great stuff in Llano! Going to go back and get some great old doors, and lots of other things as soon as I can!

See Ya!

SIMPLE Crafts for Children, Sunday School, or YOU!!!

A Lifestyle of Learning!
I am in a perpetual state of learning right now…I am like a dry sponge soaking up all the information I can find. I don’t profess to have arrived, but I am seeking and searching and learning… Life is fragile right now… The economy could get better or it could get worse. Some say let’s be prepared for the worst… I say, “Let’s prepare so that no matter what happens it will be better…life will be better, more fulfilling, enriched, and just plain fun…!" Enjoy the feel of dirt in your hands, the taste of fresh vegetables you grew on your own little spot of earth. Take hold of and cherish the moments of time spent learning how to bake and how to use herbs and any handcrafted items that are useful in everyday living or earning a living!! Share the knowledge you have gleaned with your daughters and sons! Learn…Learn…Learn…Teach…Teach…Teach… Learn to be truly self-sufficient ( or at least to some degree)… It just really feels good to know that if all else fails, you can take care of you and your family… Just that knowledge, alone, is “happiness immeasurable!” I will be posting information below and updating video tutorials as often as I can! All information will have the authors and links to their web pages for more information on each subject discussed!

How to Go Green: The Basics Great Info here for the beginner who wants to learn all they can about going "green"!

GREEN BUILDING DESIGN: "BUILDING WITH AWARENESS" by Ted Owens: I found a great site with great information and a DVD on Straw Bale Construction, etc!

Jerry Hutton alternative energies expert Director of the Fuel Cells and Alternative Fuels Training Center at Hocking College "Ted Owens, in his "Building with Awareness" DVD, has taken the process of "Green Building Design" to the next level in both the construction and operations of the home. I highly recommend these construction techniques for anyone interested in implementing truly sustainable designs."

And another:

"I spent last weekend watching the Building with Awareness DVD. As soon as I was finished. I watched it again! This extremely informative and beautiful video, as far as I know, is the first of its kind. At least, the first green building video I have been able to find with the building process laid out step by step in a simple and very visual format. I'm ecstatic to have found Syncronos Design!" —C. N. Nevada

So, check out the site and let us know what you think! More Sustainable Info to come! I am playing with the idea of posting all of my Sustainable and Survival Instinct Articles on a new blog just for Green&Sustainable Living...don't know yet...if I could archive them here on different pages, that would be great. If anyone know how let me know. I know, there are no comments here. Just e-mail me at:
See ya later!
